- Second, we always recommend supervision while feeding your pet any treat or chew.
- Third, remove any large, swallowable pieces to prevent blockages.
- Fourth, provide plenty of drinking water to help with digestion. Natural bones may splinter or break causing injury. Supervise use and feed in limited quantity if your pet is not used to this chew. If bone should splinter or break remove immediately. Discard any pieces that could be swallowed by your pet, as pieces can cause choking, gastric upset, or blockage. Remove the bone if your pet is trying to break it since chewing a hard chew this way could damage a pet’s teeth. Recommended chew size is slightly larger than your pet’s mouth. My dog LOVES these! I did introduce them slowly because it was her first time having the bones and they are "richer" treat for her. She did pretty well! Definitely some gas (ha!) but other than that her tummy handled it well. Even after the coating is off she'll still chew on it. I also love to stuff these with kong filling and freeze them to reuse them. Will definitely reorder!

I am cautious when getting a bone for my dog who has a very powerful bite. He has been able to chip off sharp pieces from other bones I have tried. But this bone is strong enough that he has not broken off any part of it. He has spent many hours chewing this bone, even when it appears that he has been able to consume all of the meat off the bone. I feel that it is safe for him, and he feels that it is deliciously satisfying!
