Time to give a round of ap-paws for May’s Pet of the Month, Penny the Bluetick Coonhound!
Miss Penny was adopted by her forever family from a rescue over five years ago after raising a litter of puppies of her own. While she’s now ruff-ly 10 years old, you’d never be able to tell since she’s got the spirit of a young pup!
Penny’s favorite pastime is taking long, meandering walks through the countryside, where she can admire the scenery, sniff every fascinating smell, and maybe chomp on some grass as a little snack. When a walk isn’t on the agenda, she’s more than happy to jump in the car instead so she can practice her hunting skills from behind the window!
When she’s not out on an adventure, Penny enjoys spending her time lounging indoors. This sweet girl loves nothing more than snuggling up with her hoomans and stretching across their laps (because lap dogs come in every size, in case you didn’t know)!
As a pup with refined taste, Penny is also quite the treat aficionado. She only expects the best of the best, with her favorites being Pawstruck Collagen Sticks and Collagen Braids. Penny knows when she’s been an extra good girl and will patiently wait by her special treat cabinet for her reward. If treat time is running a little late, she’ll make sure her fur-family knows by giving them the eagle eye or loudly voicing her opinion until her well-deserved goodies arrive. We love a pup who knows her worth!
