Puppies, puppies, PUPPIES!!! They are so stinkin’ cute and make just about everyone happy. Everyone has their own personal favorites, but what are the top cutest puppy breeds? We toiled the night hours, went through some heated debates, and finally narrowed down the top 10 list of cute puppies for your viewing pleasure.

Enjoy these cute puppy gifs!

Golden Retrievers

Of course, the “Gerber baby” of puppies made the list. Known for their natural intelligence, kind temperament, and coats made of pure sunshine, Golden Retriever puppies will turn any frown upside down any day. A golden retriever puppy becomes fully-grown at about 3 to 5 years although it’s not unusual for Goldies to have an adorable Peter Pan syndrome throughout their lives.

Jack Russells

his spunky, cute puppy steals your heart with its tiny size and giant personality. Many would agree that having a Jack Russell is just like having a puppy 24/7 for the next 15 years. Due to the nature of the breed, Jack Russells, needless to say, is not for the faint of heart. Jack Russell puppies need to be trained while young as they can become aggressive if not socialized properly. Reinforce desired behavior early with some jerky treats for a tasty reward.

Shih Tzu

Not much bigger than a dust bunny, Shih Tzus are cute puppies that stay small. Pretty ironic for the breed that’s also called “lion dog.” They are smart little pooches, although they can also be stubborn. That being said, make it a priority to start socializing and training your Shih Tzu puppy as soon as you bring them home.

Undeniably one of the most misunderstood dog breeds, Rottweilers, also called Rotts or Rotties, are strong and muscular and confident — but don’t let that fool ya! Rotties can be extremely affectionate and there’s no stopping them when they decide to cuddle and love you. Train your Rottie puppies early to hone their social and natural protective instincts. For large dog breeds like Rotties, durable chews such as bully sticks are the training rewards of choice!

We dare you to look at this puppy face and not say “aaahhhhhh.” The cutest puppy breeds large and in charge of cuteness. Mastiffs are considered the biggest dogs on earth in terms of pound-for-pound mass but all that brawn comes with a gentle temperament that overall makes Mastiffs a favorite family pet. Mastiffs love to dig and chew so if you ever decide to have one, make sure to keep plenty of long-lasting dog chews on hand to keep them occupied and trained.

This is one of the cutest puppy breeds ever! Pawfection is the word that comes to mind, with that silky soft puppy fur and sweet face, surrounded by those floppy ears. Beagles were originally bred to be hunting dogs and they can be really persistent at tracking a scent once detected. No wonder many beagle owners like to call them noses on four legs.

Labrador Retriever

Maybe we spoke too soon with the Beagle puppy being the cutest puppies… You can’t forget about Labs as they hold the torch of cute puppy breeds. Just like golden retriever puppies, labrador puppies are furballs of pure sunshine! Plus, they are great with kids and other pets which, if you combine with their pawesome energy, creates the formula for the perfect service dogs.

German Shepherd

German Shepherds grow up to be incredibly smart working dogs, but they start out as adorably awkward “all paws” cutest puppies. As you can expect from herding dogs, german shepherd puppies love all sorts of play so if you have an active lifestyle, a german shepherd is up to the vibe. Training little german shepherd pups at a young age is key to a fruitful dog-owner relationship. Just make sure you give him a bunch of well-deserved treats!

You think a full-grown Corgi butt is cute, have you seen a puppy corgi butt?! This list of cute puppies wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t mention this cute puppy breed! Not even the short legs can dampen the goofy spirits and overall great personality.

Although they are cute puppies that stay small in size, their personality grows immensely in time! Dachshunds love three things: mischief, crinkling food bags, and you! Want more dachshunds? Read about the Top 10 Treats for Dachshunds

Cute Puppy Honorable Mentions

It was too hard to pick only 10 cute puppies so we couldn’t go without mentioning a few of our other favorite cutest dog breeds…

French Bulldog

Who can ever resist the charm of a french bulldog furry? A familiar family companion in many households all over the world, French Bulldogs or Frenchies are playful and irresistible breeds who offer way more than their small size. The Frenchie’s signature bat ears make them instantly recognizable and oddly beautiful, indeed.

These feisty, intelligent dogs may be tiny in size but their hearts are huge! Known for their fierce loyalty and excessive cuteness, there’s nothing not to love about these little dogs. Little as they are, though, their big-dog personality comes shining through when you try to move a napping Yorkie or fail to give him his treats!

Basset Hound

This jowly adorable breed may be just 14 inches in height but they stand tall and proud as one of the best sniffers around. Basset Hounds excel at hunting but in most domestic settings, they’re content as being the absolute best companions one could ask for. Just don’t take them swimming as they sink like stone in water.

Husky puppies are just as cute as their adult counterparts — complete with the intense floof and rambunctious attitude. Husky puppies are well-loved for their stunning looks, especially their beautiful coat and sharp gaze. The breed is known for its intelligence so best train and socialize a husky pup early. Make playtime extra fun with interesting snacks like bully sticks and cow ears.

The quintessential lapdogs of the famous, chihuahuas have won the hearts of many thanks to their charming and sassy personality. Chihuahua puppies are not much different from their adult selves owing to their natural breed size and to be honest, the wilful attitude is there to stay as soon as it blooms. Fun fact: these little furries come in diverse colors and coat types.

Pugs have charmed everyone since time immemorial and it’s hard not to see why. These quirky, snuggly, funny little pooches are practically cute personified. Unlike other active breeds, pugs are characteristically more laid-back. This makes them perfect companions for small environments like apartments.

Great Danes

This majestic dog breed is all about elegance. Their huge proportions are only as huge as their hearts. With loving and gentle personalities, Great Danes are adorably affectionate. And did we mention that Great Dane puppies grow up really really fast?

Pitbulls are infamous for being aggressive dogs but once you get to own one, you’ll argue with everybody just to debunk the common myth. Truth be told, pitbulls are loving, eager to please doggos who love their humans to bits. Of course, the pitbull’s nature may be intense but so long as they’re raised well, you’ll see them come out of their shell.

Is there a dog more recognizable than a Dalmatian? Their signature spots are easy to spot everywhere. They make excellent guard dogs and loving companions especially in households with little kids.
